Cookie Policy

Last updated: 24 May 2026  —  Effective date: 24 May 2026

This policy explains what cookies publishwith.ai uses, why, and how to control them. It applies to the publishwith.ai website and platform in accordance with EU Directive 2009/136/EC (ePrivacy) and GDPR.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information between page loads — for example, whether you are logged in.

2. What cookies we use

publishwith.ai uses two categories of cookies: strictly necessary cookies (always active) and analytics cookies (only with your consent).

Cookie / storage key Category Purpose Duration
mcpub_session Strictly necessary Keeps you authenticated after login. Contains a signed, tamper-proof token. No personal data stored in the cookie itself. 24 hours or until you sign out
csrf_token Strictly necessary Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks on state-changing actions (forms, mutations). Session (deleted when browser closes)
cookie_consent (localStorage) Strictly necessary Records your cookie preference (all or necessary), so the banner is not shown again. Persistent (cleared by browser storage reset)
_ga, _ga_* Analytics (optional) Google Analytics 4 — measures traffic and usage patterns on the public website (publishwith.ai). Used to understand which pages are visited and improve the product. Set only with your consent. Data is processed by Google LLC under the Google Analytics Terms of Service. 2 years (_ga); 13 months (_ga_*)

3. Analytics cookies — Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (property ID: G-NRL0LFJN7L) to collect anonymised information about how visitors use the public website. This includes pages visited, time on site, and broad geographic location (country level). We do not collect personal data via Google Analytics, and IP anonymisation is enabled.

Google Analytics cookies are loaded only after you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner. If you choose "Necessary only", no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics is not loaded.

Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can also opt out globally using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Consent

When you first visit publishwith.ai, a banner asks for your cookie preference:

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clearing the cookie_consent key from your browser's localStorage (Developer Tools → Application → Local Storage → publishwith.ai) or by clearing all site data. The banner will reappear on your next visit.

Strictly necessary cookies (session, CSRF) do not require consent under ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3) as they are essential to provide the service you have requested.

5. How to control cookies in your browser

6. Changes to this policy

If we introduce new cookies requiring consent, we will update this page and reset the consent banner. The current version is always at publishwith.ai/cookies.html.
